A Rectangle Is 12 Inches, And Width Is 8 Inches. The Base Of A Triangle Is 32 Inches, What Is The Length In Inches Of The Altitude Drawn To The Base?
asked 3 months ago
Answers
Area of rectangle = length x width
i think here length = 12
Width = 8
so area = 12x 8
= 96 square
The area of the triangle = 1/2 (A)(B)
where A is the altitude to the base (B) of the triangle and base is equal to 32 and area is 96 sq.
96 = 1/2 (A)(32)
96 = A (16)
A = 96/16
A = 6 inches
So length of altitude is 6 inches
