Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Mr Bean was a comedy series featuring Rowan Atkinson who also co-wrote the series along with Richard Curtis, Robin Driscoll, and Ben Elton.

The first edition was broadcast on 1 January 1990 with the final episode on 31 October 1995.

The character of Mr Bean was described by Rowan Atkinson as " a child in a grown man's body", and each episode followed him solving everyday tasks normally causing chaos at the same time.

The highest audience for the show was in 1992 when an episode entitled "The Trouble with Mr Bean" drew in over 18 million people, and the show has been watched in over 200 territories around the world.

2 feature films and a cartoon series followed in the footsteps of the main series.  In 1997, Bean – The Ultimate Disaster Movie was released.  This was written by Mel Smith and broke with tradition by having other characters instead of Mr Bean being at the centre of everything.

The second Mr Bean movie is due to be released in 2007 having been filmed in 2006.  It's called Mr Bean's Holiday, the name finally cnfirmed after several stages during the development.

The animated series started in 2002, and this series had other characters as well, finishing up with the discovery that Bean is related to aliens and the arrival of lots of other Beans on Earth.
