    The Gardenia Bud Always Turn Brown And Fall, Why?

    I have two pots of Gardenia and lots of flower buds, but later on before it even blooming, its turn brown and fall from the plant...Help, what should I do? This plant already two years old....and I changed the soil too...not made a different.

    Recommend that you go ahead and plant them in the ground. They could be getting root-bound if the pots aren't big enough. Gardenia doesn't like a whole lot of water which could cause the buds to darken and fall off.
    They also bloom better in sun to part shade. Too much shade can cause the blooms to not open.

    Thanks tamarind for the reply, I did not plant on the ground because in the winter I take it inside, Do they grow back after winter if I transplant it in the garden? My roses are just find outside in the winter, is it the same with these gardenia plant?
