The infection in any part of the body cause the lymph node surrounding that area to swell. The lymph nodes are small swellings of lymphatic system and are part of immune system. The contain lymph and WBC to fight infection. If you still have injury in that are, the lymph node can be swollen. The lymph node of neck is also swollen in case of throat infection. If you are not having any infection or injury in the neck or throat area the consult the doctor.
