1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In the United Kingdom there are two types of tax credits that offer financial support to families. These are either Working Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit. In some case both of these can be claimed. As per the rules a maximum amount of a hundred and forty pounds for a single child and two hundred and forty pounds for two or more children can be availed of. The procedure of how these credits are calculated and other rules related to the same are mentioned in detail at www.cafamily.org.uk/taxcredits.html. The website provides this information in other languages besides English as well. Some of these include Urdu, Farsi, and Arabic. Tax credits are generally administered by Her Majesties Revenue and Custom service. Recently it has benefited a number of people and families with nine out of ten cases qualifying for some sort of assistance.
