    Why Is My Dogs Eye Swelling And Tearing Regularly?

    About 6 months ago my 4yr old lab's eye lid started swelling. The area around her eye swells up every week or so. Occasionally, a spot on her cheek also swells (looks like there is a ball in her cheek). We have changed her food and kept her on Benadryl. She has had the dye tests at the vet. They say it is allergies but I am not convinced. If her eye is not swollen it tear very badly and sometimes it is yellow goopy stuff. I have another dog that is unaffected. Please help!

    Swelling and tearing is a sign that your dog might have an infection. Dog eye care is often taken for granted but pet owners should provide their dogs eye care at least ones a week. Dogs with moist and clear eyes are generally considered healthy but if it shows otherwise then it is about time to consult your vet.
