What Kind Of Food Does Italy People Eat?

People in Italy tend to eat shellfish and fish fresh from the ocean.  They also eat an abundance of tomatoes, olives and bread.  They tend to cook foods that are simple yet fresh and use herbs to bring out the flavor of the foods.  Another of the fresh items they eat daily is cheese.  Fresh goats milk and cows milk cheeses.  Italy is separated by many divisions and therefore there are many regional dishes in each area that uses the foods that are native to that particular region.
