Before 19th century, candles were made from tallow which was a byproduct of beef-fat rendering. These days, the paraffin wax is the most common. Candles are also made from gel, soy and vegetable products.

Making candles is fun and you can make different types of candles easily but it is a time consuming process. You will need different ingredients like paraffin wax, wick, thermometer and stearic acid.

First of all you need to take raw wax and put it in mold. Start heating the mold and leave it till it reaches to 100 degree. Leave the wax for ten minutes at 100 degree in the mold.
As heating finish you need to leave it for some period of time and let it be cooled.

Now you will see solid wax in specific form and you can easily take it out of mold. This is the simplest way you can make candles. Even these candles can be made in home with few instruments.
