Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A cashier's check basically is check which is assured by a bank. They are generally treated as cash since nearly all banks clear them immediately.

A cashier's check normally has the name of the concerned bank in a visible location, normally towards the higher left-hand corner or upper mid section of the check. In addition, they are normally created with improved safety features, which contain watermarks, security threads, colour-shifting ink and special bond paper. These are made to reduce the susceptibility to counterfeit ones. In order to be identified as a cashier's check, terms to that outcome must be included in a visible location in front of the item.

The payee's name, the written and numeric dollar total, the remitter's information, and additional tracking information is printed towards the front section of the check.
