How A Random Sample May Be Selected?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A simple random sample is a sample which is selected in such a way that each possible sample of a given size has the the same probability of selection. Simple random sample can be selected by usual lottery method, but if the population is large than random number table can be used. The simple random sampling can only be employed if the sample units can be easily identified: The population is small and homogeneous. In case of large populations, this method is very expensive and time consuming because it requires to number all the units.
