What Does Mountain Range Mean?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Mountain ranges are a group of mountains that are either bounded by lowlands or separated from other mountain ranges either by passes or rivers. Individual mountains that are present in the same mountain range do not necessarily have the same geology as the other mountains present in the range, all mountains are geologically different. They can be a mix of orogeny, for example Volcanoes, Fold Mountains or Uplifted Mountains, all of these have different rocks.

Mountain ranges are very important as they play an important role which is very influential to the climate. They also affect the rainfall to a greater extent.
