It makes the consumer more educated, but most people still actually go to an offline store to make purchases.
The social aspect of shopping cannot happen online, most women shop with friends at malls or at other physical locations.
Customer service will almost always be better at an offline shop rather than an online store, and is more immediate.
There is no replacement for seeing and touching the item you are about to purchase, mostly for clothing and other accessories, not as much for technology related purchases, such as music and software/hardware.

Shopping is one of the routine tasks in our daily life. Everyone does the shopping at offline stores or online stores. It depends on the customers' desires, requirements, demands, availability of time, etc.  These days most of the people are living with very tight and busy work schedules and thus they don't getting the time to shop at shopping malls or offline stores. Moreover, they have to leave a day or certain period of time to shop their required or desired products at offline stores by roaming many stores in heavy traffic and with facing parking problems. To avoid these kinds of hassles by doing purchase at offline stores, many of the people are going for the online shopping only. The Consumers need fast, reliable, quality and hassle free shopping for their shopping. So, the online stores are providing all such facilities to us, obviously there would be great impact on the traditional stores by the online stores until they update their service.

Online shopping has given us a bigger choice of products.  It has also caused us to be less social. We now spend more time sitting instead if getting up and moving around. Our health is suffering. No more need to hangout with friends at the mall.  It's also made owning retail business more difficult.  People don't go to stores to browse and spend money to support local businesses which keeps towns funded with city taxes.  Now there's less tax money for street repairs, to pay city workers, city park upkeep and city schools.  Instead, city, state, local taxes have to be raised to support these needs.
