Who Wrote Hamlet?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It was William Shakespeare, the greatest English writer of all time, who wrote Hamlet. He was adroit at all the crafts of writing, be it poetry or play and wrote about thirty-seven plays, 154 sonnets and a number of poems. His works were inspiration to the creative people since generations and were reproduced in various forms in many countries and in various languages. He is often referred to as the Bard of Avon and is known as the most quoted writer in the history of the English literature.

The exact year when he produced his works are still a matter of debate among literature experts but usually it is believed that he produced most of his works between 1586 and 1616. He is considered among very few writers who were quite dexterous at both comedy and tragedy and his plays still have popular appeal. A special mention of Mr W.H has started a debate about Shakespeare's sexuality.
