    The juncture of the River Colne and River Holme holds the town of Huddersfield. It is found in the Kirklees, a metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire. The Yorkshire and Humber Region of England harbour the county West Yorkshire. It shares its borders with Lancanshire, Greater Manchester, Derbyshire, North Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.

    Huddersfield holds a population of 146,234. It has a big shopping area almost the size of its town. Motorway network connects to Huddersfield through its M1 and M62 motorways. Huddersfield has a railway station which has frequent services to Leeds and Manchester and has regular services to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sunderland, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Scarborough, York, Hull, Liverpool and Manchester International Airport.

    Huddersfield houses the famous Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival,  Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra and Huddersfield Singers. It has a Rugby Football League. It is a home to former Superbike Champion, James Whitnam.
