How Do I Deal Fixed Limit Texas Hold´em?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Each player is given a card from a shuffled pack and the highest card goes first. An ace is considered the highest card. If two aces are drawn, the highest suit goes first. The hierarchy is as follows; spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs, with clubs being the lowest rank.

Deal in a clockwise direction. Each player is dealt their first pocket card face down, followed by their second pocket card, also face down. Players have a betting round. In fixed limit Hold´em, there is a maximum of 3 raises in any betting round. The betting round finishes when all players have either matched the bet or folded. If people fold, with cards face down, do not reveal what they had. Collect the folded cards to one side, face down.

You burn (discard) the top card and deal 3 community cards in the centre, facing upwards. This is the flop, and another betting round follows. When completed, burn and place the next card (known as the turn) face up in the centre. Another betting round is played. Then complete the final burn and turn, also face-up, known as the river. The final betting round is completed.

The showdown finishes the game, with each player showing their cards and the winner takes the pot. If only one person is left, they can choose to muck their cards
