    Ash is a village which is situated in the East of Kent, which lies just 3 miles west of Sandwich. The Ash village is combined with some hamlets which are located near by namely; Westmarsh. Ash forms the Parish of Ash with Westmarsh. This parish is said to be one of the largest parish's in the county.

    The total population of Ash with Westmarsh has a total population of about 2,700. The parish includes the villages of Ash, Ware, Hoaden and Westmarsh. The northern region of the parish is taken up by the River of Stour. The Parish church in Ash is dedicated in memory of St Nicholas; it has a very old tower which dates back to the 15th century, the tower top is covered in green copper spire.
