What Causes High White Blood Cells Up To 25000?
My future mother in law is in the hospital her white blood cell count went up to 25000. The doctors can't find anything but she is in serious pain. What can cause this and what is it? Thank you Ashley.

White Blood cell are the bodies defense!! When there is something that is not right the body sends these little soldiers to help. With an elevated White Blood Count(wbc) That is the bodys physical way of saying hey these guys are here to help with who knows... Do not be terribly concerned with that its elevated but be concerned on why it is.. The only way to completely find out is to ask and demand an answer to why they are elevated. Doctors are like us they just forget sometimes and must be reminded!!!! Good luck
