      The "Ides of March" is the fifteenth of March.  It is most commonly associated with Shakespeare's classic tragedy "Julius Ceasar".  Caesar was assassinated on March 15th.  A soothsayer who predicted his death told Ceasar to "Beware the Ides of March".
