How Long Should I Wear An Abdominal Binder After A Hysterectomy?
I had a hysterectomy over a week ago. I was told to wear an abdominal binder but not told how long. It is very uncomfortable.

Abdominal binder is used in the post hysterectomy patients because after the surgery, stomach is swollen and there are feelings like internal organs are moving down to fill the gap of uterus. The abdominal belt should be wear up to complete healing which can take six months. You can also discuss this with your doctor during follow up visits.
