Do You Re-gift?

Well, I would if I could.  The trouble is that I use up all up of those gift soap/lotion/shapmoo things that people give to you when I run out.  There are not many things that I am given these days that are  not  useful.  For example. Last year I asked for a new set of tires and you can't exactly re-gift those.  I even use the travel pillow that I won in the office raffel. I guess I lucked out last year.

I don't usually regift but I do donate gifts I don't need or particularly like to clubs I belong to for use as door prizes.  I think you need to be careful when you regift and keep a record of who gave you the gift.  One Christmas, a friend of mine gave me the same present I had given her the year before.  Now that is tacky!  But as desertkid said someone's reject may be someone ele's treasure.

No, because I really don't get a lot of gifts for the day, and they are usually from the mother in law, so she would be hurt if I did something like that, and I can't hurt her feelings like that. Hope this helps.

I've been known to re-gift, but now that I'm an expatriate I only get things from my wife that I really need anyway. Re-gifting is sensible, though.
