How Quarts Watches Work?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

An electrical oscillator has as its resonant regulator a quartz crystal, the oscillator frequency (commonly 32,768 Hertz) is then divided down electronically to one pulse per second, and this pulse either drives a digital display directly, or a 60-step stepper motor if the watch has an analogue display, i.e. Normal hands.
