Hard Rock is a type or Genre of Rock 'n' Roll music. The roots of Hard Rock date back to the early 1960s Garage rock and the psychedelic rock. Hard Rock is identified by the use of heavy, distorted electric guitars, bass guitars and drums. The term hard rock is very commonly used for various other genres like grunge punk and Heavy Metal, in order for them to be distinguished from the more radio friendly, pop rock music.

Famous hard rock bands include; Queen, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns 'N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Aerosmith, KISS, The Who, Thin Lizzy and Rush.

Hard rock ( and i wont be all technical about it) lets you describe yourself in a way nothing else can. If you play or for instance sing like me and it's "hard rock" they know your the kind of person that lets people understand you better by your music. If I'm mad I wont just say "hey I am so freaking mad" I will write a song to express that feeling. -NIC-
