What Is The Climate Like In Berlin?

    Berlin the capital city of Germany is situated in the eastern part of the country. The country falls in the temperate zone and Berlin experiences a distinctly temperate climate.

    The average temperature recorded annually is about 10 C (about 50 F) and the city experiences cool weather almost throughout the year. The coldest months are December, January and February when the temperature can drop a few degrees below zero.

    The relatively warmer months are from May to September with July and August being the warmest months. As in most cities the temperature within the city limits is often as much as 4 to 5 degrees higher than it is as compared to the surrounding areas.

    The average rainfall is 580 mm (23 in) and is well spread out throughout the year occurring almost year round. The majority rainfall occurs in the months from May to August with the maximum in June; showers of rain and snowfall take place in December and January.
