Chemistry is the science of the change. Over the centuries people have heated rocks, distilled juices and probed solids, liquids and gases with electricity. From all this activity we have gained a great wealth of new material e.g. Metals, medicines, plastics, dyes, ceramics, fertilizers, fuels and much more. But this creation of new materials is only part of the science and technology of chemistry.
The job of the chemist is not only this but he must also understand the changes, find patterns of behaviour and to discover the innermost nature of materials.
It is a brief introduction. Hope that answers your question.

This is a touchy topic Question ! Chemistry has been around for ages / decades it is a science of properties of substances and their contradictions or reactions / behaviors with another substance .
Although chemistry is a art of substances and of how one ' chemical " behaves with another for balance or growth or lack of growth in relevance to eachother chemicals all play a sighnificant role in everything in our life. Cycle of life . This has to do with Protons and Neurons for life
