How Do I Take A Document I Have And Put In Microsoft Works Program?

Hi I am trying to take a document I have, and instead of typing the whole thing out, I was wondering if I could make a hard copy using Microsoft works; and How do I do it?

    Microsoft works is an office suit. There is a simple way. Just right click on the document and click on open with. Choose Microsoft Works to open the file. You can open DOC and XLS files in it the same way you do in the original software.
