Although repairing a car your self can save a lot of money but it can be dangerous too, thus there are some safety precautions that one should take care of while fixing their cars, in order to avoid getting hurt or putting some one else in danger.

All auto repair manuals will also provide you with safety tips and warnings which you must read and not avoid. They will help you in understanding the dangerous associated with car repairing. First of all it is important that you read the manual so that if you feel you are not able to fix the problem your self, then you can ask for professional help.

If you crawl under a car, do not trust on a jack only for supporting the car and make sure the car is strongly supported by some thing. Other wise it can fall on you and you will get badly injured.

Make sure you disconnect either one of the battery cables while doing any work related to electricity to prevent any accidental shorts, which can end up in creating fire.
