Phoenix is the home to some major sporting teams such as the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team, the Phoenix Suns basketball team, the Phoenix Coyotes national hockey team, and the Arizona Cardinals football team. In addition, nine Major League Baseball teams conduct spring training in the area. These teams, plus three that train in Tucson, are collectively known as the Cactus League.
