Go to your local animal shelter/center or you might go to vet center. Another way to get a kitten in Springfield Illinois is to search online. There are many websites which offer this services but they don't offer those services for free. They normally give kittens at sale price. These sale prices are so low that they are slow to free.

thanks for the reply. I have used Kijiji.com in the past to get my chihuahua and I had actually searched there before coming on here. I found this site while searching for a kitten. lol but I did post an ad up saying that I was looking for a kitten and I did find a white and gray female. She is now hiding behind my couch lol. Thanks for replying though!
