    Where Can I Find A Place That Can CAT Scan A Person Of Her Size?

    She weighs 450 lbs and the hospital cannot due a cat scan or mri because of her size. It started out with vomiting, it took a lot of effect to get her to the hospital, we don't know if they broke her neck in the move or if she had a stroke. She used to have a very high iq and could type up to 200 words a minute now she cannot even feed herself, please let me know a place that has two facilities that can mri or cat scan a person of her size.

    I am not sure of CAT scan but you get MRI. Because there are some Open MRI machines which can be used for over weight or phobic peoples. Although power of the open MRI machine is not more than 0.5 Tesla but can be helpful.

      This may sound mean, but it's not intended to be.
       
      Zoo's, especially some of the larger zoos around the country, will most likely have CT scans that accommodate someone of that size, that they would normally use for some of their larger animals.  I don't know what it would take--if a doctor's request is necessary or what--in order to be able to get it done there. 
       
      You can also check the medical departments of some of the universities in your state or surrounding states to see if they may have a CT scanner that would work.
