What Type Of Ceiling That Is In Mobile Homes Has Chalk?
I have a 1993 double wide mobile home that appears to have drops of chalk on the ceiling. If touched the the chalk crumbles in my fingers. I need to know how to paint this or if i need to scrape it off before I primer and paint the ceiling.

Some ceilings are stomped or have a popcorn effect using a form of drywall mud, if it is crumbling off it needs to be scraped and then painted. It is easier to scrape off if first moistened with warm water.
