A lot of these whitening tricks, including the two you mentioned will break down the enamel. You are better off just using regular toothpaste to keep your teeth as long as you can. A lot of these products break down tooth enamel, so though your teeth will look whiter, you will loose sooner. Regular visits to the dentist and proper tooth cleaning is the key and brush often but make sure not too hard as you may do damage to gums as well
