I'm Short On Rent, Can My Landlord Evict Me Without Notice?

My rent is $1300. I paid my landlord $400 on the 25th of last month to extend my rent payment date to the 10th of the month. On the 13th I paid her another $700. I will not have the additional $600 until the 18th. Can she evict me without a notice to pay or quit?

Have you talked with your landlord? Most of these kinds of problems can be fixed with simple honest communication. Explain the current financial issues and how you plan to remedy them so this is not an every month occurrence. She can give you a five day notice or she can then start the process of eviction. Once that happens you have very little ability to work with your landlord and may also need a lawyer, more costs you don't need. Even if is hard to do, just call the landlord and offer to sit and give an honest explanation. She can't just throw you out but try to avoid that at all costs.
