How Do I Prune Old Climbing Roses That Have Become Top Heavy?
My old Blaze climbing rose bushes have their best new growth at the top of the bushes. Can I cut them down to encourage new growth closer to be bottom and center of the trellises to prevent the "top heavy" look?

I would just thin out the fullness of them at the top. Prune some of them back. I would prune the bottoms ones as well so the top spread to the bottom. Hope this helps. Good-Luck.
