Hi. ROM is ( R ) ead ( O ) nly ( M ) emory and is usually termed to described some microchips and CD-R discs / DVD-r discs, these discs can become ROM after are written to only once and thus are Read Only Memory.. A floppy disk can always be written to so how can it be ROM, a floppy has a slide notch for protection purposes to keep information on the diskette safe from overwriting, that is only a security feature and would not justify it as ROM.
