The Tees is a river that flows across Northern England. It begins on the eastern slope of Cross Fell in the Pennines, and flows all the way eastwards, which approximately covers a distance of 87 miles (137 km) to the North Sea. This river flows between Hartlepool and Redcar. It creates undercurrents in an area of 708 square miles (1834 square km), and also does not hold any important tributaries.

As this river begins at Cross Fell it forms the frontier between the momentous counties of Westmorland and Durham. The panorama becomes gentler but more pleasing as it descends to the Middleton-in-Teesdale (Durham). The River Tees was featured on the small screen serial called Seven Natural Wonders as one of the fascinating wonders of the North.
