What Is A Male And A Female Cattle Called?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

An adult female who has had 1 or 2 calves (depending on regional usage) is called a cow. A young female before she has had a calf of her own is called a heifer. A young female that has had one calf is occasionally called a first-calf heifer.

An intact (not castrated) adult male is called of course a  bull.
