    Varna is a seaport city of the nation Bulgaria. It is located on the Black Sea coast. The city was established in the name as Odessus. It was found by Milesian Greeks in the time of 6th century B.C. The territory was under the rules of several powers such as Thracian, Macedonian and Roman.

    The territory became a part of Bulgarian Emperor in the year of 681. After becoming the part of the Bulgarian Emperor it was named Varna. In the year of 1391, Varna was under the domination of the Ottoman. It was the sight of the famous battle between the armies of the Turkish and Hungarian in the year of 1444. In the war the king of Poland and Hungary, Wladyslaw III was killed. By the treaty of Berlin of the year of 1878 the territory was surrendered to Bulgaria and from that time the city is the important part of the nation.

    Now-a-days Varna is an important or major economic and cultural as well as the administrative center of Bulgaria. It is also the nation's important resort centre. The important industries of the country are manufacturing and shipbuilding, both are very important for the economics of Bulgaria. According to the census report of the year 2001, the total population was estimated around 314,539.
