Iver is located in England, in the county of Buckinghamshire. It is most prominent for being the biggest Parish in the district of South Bucks. The name Iver originates from the Anglo Saxon word meaning the brow of the hill. Another suggestion is that it is named after the Norman gentleman Roger de Iveri.

The Parish of Iver consists of approximately 5531 acres. Both the villages of Iver and Iver Heath are included in it.

A village church and several houses dating right back to the 16 and 17th centuries are found in the village of Iver in addition to a village church. The village of Iver Heath includes a Victorian estate Heatherden hall which was transformed into Pinewood Studios by Charles Boot.

It is the home of the Iver Nature Study Centre, wherein members participate in activities pertaining to nature for educational and therapeutic purposes. It also houses the Iver Heath Lawn Tennis Club.
