Having a diesel car is a very economical decision. But to keep the car in good condition for long one has to take an extra care for it. It requires more attention and maintenance then a petrol engine.
Following are some of the steps for the maintenance of Diesel car.
1. It is recommended to get your oil change after very 3000 to 32000 KM.
2. While changing oil it is always recommended to get oil filter and air filter.
3. Clean air filter, check leakage from engine.
4. When reaching to 6000KM always check Diesel Pump, Injector Heater by the diesel labs.
5. Always try to use Hi Diesel good oil.
6. Always get the heater on first and then start your car.
7. Better to get heated for at least five minutes before drive.
8. It is also recommended to clean fuel tank because you it might be full with carbon.
I would also like to include that as compare to other fuel engines diesel engines are more sensitive to abnormal temperatures. Try to avoid driving if you find that car is too hot.
