Do I Have To Tell A Health Insurance Company About My Medical History?

I need to apply for new health insurance because I got divorced and they want to see my pharmacy info for the last year. Do I have to give it to them to apply?

If they ask for something, then they most likely won't take your application without the information.

Yes you do and make sure that you tell them everything or they can refuse coverage.  The best thing is to use an insurance broker who will provide you with the necessary papers to fill out and find  the best insurance for your needs.

Failure to provide your complete medical history to one insurance company will make it impossible for you to obtain health insurance from ANY company if you are refused.  The insurance companies are very strict about this.

Check the yellow pages and find a health insurance broker.  It is really the best way to go and the broker will also find you the least expensive insurance.  The broker is paid by the insurance companies and not by you.  The broker knows the ins and outs of obtaining insurance.

It is important that you obtain new insurance within a 63 day period.  If you go beyond the 63 days you can be denied insurance for your current health problems.  If under the 63 days you can't be denied for existing problems.
