What Are The Major Works Of F. Scott Fitzgerald?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are only a few works to the credit of F. Scott Fitzgerald and the four finished novels that he wrote include 'The Beautiful and Damned', The Great Gatsby' and 'This Side of Paradise'.

If you read his debut novel 'This Side Of paradise' you will find that it is examining the lives and moral aspects of a youth who is living in the era after World War I. The lead character was a wealthy youth called Amory Blaine and was a student of Princeton University. He had a series of romances and he also dabbled in literature and with all this he became disillusioned.

Many of the scholars who studied the life of Fitzgerald think that to some extent Fitzgerald described his own life in the novel as the lead character had many of the characteristics that resembles with that of Fitzgerald, though he himself never officially accepted that.
