Born in Plumstead, London, in October nineteen sixty two, Paul Anthony Walsh made five appearacnes for England in a brief international career that lasted only five games and produced a solitary goal.

Paul Walsh began his journeyman career at London club Chartlon Athletic in nineteen seventy nine.  He went on to score twenty four league goals in eighty seven league goals in a three year spell at the Valley, before moving to Luton Town in nineteen eighty two.

Then a first division side, Walsh managed twenty four league goals in eighty games for the Hatters before moving North to league and European champions elect Liverpool.

Walsh spent four years at Anfield, but struggled to make a real impact at the club.  Although he returned a goals scoring average of a goal every three games, he found the striking force of Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish, to hard to break into.

In nineteen eighty eight he was sold to Tottenham Hotspur.
