    Will Gartner Snakes Eat Dead Things?

    My seven year old son caught a snake and is wondering if they eat dead prey? Also will they bite and if they do does it hurt?

    They eat mostly living things, and will eat eggs sometimes, and they have been known to eat other snakes at times too. I'm sure, like any other biting thing, it would hurt, but I don't think that they are venomous. Hope this helps, for further information, you can go to www.wikipedia.org.
