Alexander Graham Bell invented the phone in 1876. He belonged to Scotland and in 1970s, Bell and Elisha Gray independently designed the tools through which the speech can be transmitted over some distance. However, Bell patented his telephone first therefore, he won in this legal war and today Bell is considered as the inventor of telephone.
