What Was The Novel “The Partner” Written By John Grisham?

The novel "The Partner" was written by John Grisham in the year 1997. It was his first book that was not made into a film and has not been made into one to date. It involves the fate and the choices made along with the meticulous planning and execution of schemes by the Attorney Patrick S Lanigan who is a junior partner at a law firm in the city of Biloxi in the state of Mississippi.

When Patrick realizes that his firm is involved in swindling the US government of large sums of money through a ship building scheme and that he is being kept in the dark he starts to collect information regarding the same diligently. When he has all the information he requires he disappears. An accidental death is believed to have caused his death and a body discovered is believed to be his. The firm losses money from its account, approximately $90 million, and it is believed the body is him.
