    Kenya borders with Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia. Among the countries with which Kenya borders, Sudan is the one with which it share the least border. The south-east part of Kenya opens in the Indian Ocean.

    Portuguese were the first European people who explored the country with Vasco de Gama visiting Mombasa in as early as in 1498. Officially they colonize the country in 1505.

    If we read the post colonial history of the country, it starts with the election in 1957, although it was not an independent nation then. Kenya won its independence only in 1963.

    The country is quite famous for its safari excursions and few years back when some terrorists exploded a bomb at the embassy of the US at Nairobi, the whole world was looking at the country that it would be prone to further attack.
