I used us air and they charge $100. Each way - they must be in a carrier under the seat and the airline people were not nice about the dog at all.  They allow 2 pets per flight

There are some of the airlines which allow pets in the cabin. Southwest airline is one example. The rest of the airlines have certain conditions. See the link below for more details:

PLEASE RESEARCH THIS INFO AS SOUTHWEST AIRLINES DOES NOT ALLOW PETS IN THE CABIN DURING FLIGHT. THEY ARE IN FACT ONE OF THE FEW THAT RESTRICT PETS AND WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO REMAIN WITH YOU DURING TRAVEL---THIS WAS ALMOST A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR ME DUE TO YOUR MIS-INFORMATION.

Please do your research, Southwest Airlines DOES NOT allow pets in the cabin during flights. In fact they are one of the few airlines that restricts pets from being with you while traveling. Your answer almost caused me a major problem when I tried to book my flight with SW. I wouldn't leave my poodle alone in the cargo hold for 6 hours and doubt that any real animal lover would. Please get your info straight before giving us advice, thank you.
