What Is Considered Child Endangerment?

Answer Question

Child endangerment is in fact a criminal offence involving cases wherein children are subjected to certain dangerous or inappropriate situations. Bear in mind that child endangerment is defined differently in different places. Thus the precise behaviours that constitute child endangerment will differ. Note that it is not the same things as child abuse as child abuse typically involves direct harm to minors. However, in America it would mean a similar penalty.

Child endangerment laws can be quite stringent and often people don't even realize when they are breaking such laws. For instance if simply show your two year old son your firearm, depending on the laws in your area, it might constitute child endangerment.

You could be slapped with fines or in serious cases you could lose custody of your kids if you have endangered them.
