How Does One Write A Lesson Plan?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A lesson plan is used by a teacher or educator to plan out what they are going to teach, establish learning aims, learner requirements, variety of approach and the time taken on individual learning activities.

As most modern teaching is learner centre, it is important that the lesson plan includes a lot of activities for the student and the teacher becomes an informed facilitator.

First, plan you overall aim for the class.   For instance, it might be:

AIM: To introduce students to the blurtit website

Then you plan out some learning outcomes

Outcome 1: Students will successfully navigate the Blurtit website
Outcome 2: Students will successfully ask a question on Blurtit
Outcome 3: Students will successfully demonstrate that they can answer a question on Blurtit

Next you plan out each activity, including how long each area will take to teach and who TEACHER/STUDENT is doing the activity.  Next work out what type of learning style each activity suits.  Finally, write any notes necessary, pointers or equipment or props needed.
