Lobster is a creature that is used largely as food and mostly it is cooked by boiling it in the salt water. The meat that can be taken from the creature is also called lobster. Usually the colour of its shell is black but when you boil it in the water for a while it turned into red. Some other organs of lobster are also used as food like its liver known as tomalley makes a very delicious food.

It is believed that the creature has got its name from an old word 'loppestere' which means spidery creature; like a spider, the lobster also has many legs.
